SUMMARIES
AT the end of today’s trading session on the GSE, 33,711 shares were traded and as a result of various stock price movement, both the GSE-CI and GSE-FSI gained points to close at 1,871.51 and 1,770.52 respectively. CAL and ALW both recorded gains to become the day’s top equity traders as they each absorbed 2 pesewas at the close of the trading session.
The currency market closed with an appreciation of the cedi against the USD, CAD and AUD but lost to the GBP and EUR by the close of the day’s trading.

EQUITY MARKET REPORT
At the close of the third trading session of the week on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), a total of 33,711 shares were traded, corresponding to a total value of GHC 45,128.96. As a result of various movement in stock prices, the GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 2.47 points to close at 1,871.51 points, representing a YTD change of 10.80%. The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also gained 2.32 points to close at 1,771.52 points, representing a YTD change 14.57%.

CURRENCY MARKET REPORT
At the close of the day’s trading, the cedi lost strength against some of its rival trading currencies. It lost to the GBP and EUR by 0.0056 and 0.0180 to close trading at GHC 5.6061 and GHC 4.8806 respectively. The cedi however gained against the USD, CAD and AUD by 0.0003, 0.0132 and 0.0133 to close at GHC 4.6016, GHC 3.4086 and GHC 3.4573 by the close of trading.
